15 Minute Sushi Bowl
What’s better than sushi? Nothing… nothing is better than sushi but the only thing almost better than sushi, is a very fast and easy to assemble 15 minute sushi bowl. If you’re on the go or just can’t be bothered with cooking… this one’s for you.
The most effort you’re going to run in to here, is cooking your sticky rice for 12 minutes. Extra time points taken off if you let your rice cool afterwards, but you get the idea. You can get pretty creative with your fillings (ginger? tempura bits, perhaps?) but what I have here is some basic, likely to have in your fridge kind of stuff and it was still nothing short of delicious.

- Cook your sticky rice according to package directions.
- While your rice simmers, prep your vegetables. I used a potato shaver for the carrot. Break nori sheet into 1inch strips with your hands.
- Once your rice is finished cooking, place it in your bowl and add your fillings. Sprinkle sesame seed garnish and drizzle soya sauce to taste.
I added salt and 1 TSP rice vinegar to finished rice to taste, but this is optional as the soya sauce adds that salt/ flavour.
The vegetable portions above were what I used for a single serving. I packed up leftover sticky rice, which will be used for another sushi bowl or sushi roll later.
